Title: A Virtual Bridge Between Italy and the Czech Republic: Class 1E’s eTwinning Project

During the 2022/2023 school year, Class 1E embarked on a long-term electronic twinning within the European eTwinning program, utilizing the official school-education.ec.europa.eu platform provided by the European Commission.

The students collaborated remotely in English with their peers from the Základní Škola in Kosmonosy (Czech Republic), developing digital, linguistic, and European citizenship skills through a journey rich in interactive activities.

Project Milestones:

April 2023 – Getting to know each other and creating the project’s identity After brainstorming proposals for the official logo and name, each student created their own digital avatar and wrote a personal introduction. The two classes then met on virtual Padlet boards (Italian students introduce themselves and Czech students introduce themselves) to exchange their initial introductions.

May 2023 – Cultural exchange and interactive quizzes The activities continued with exciting remote challenges: the Italian students tested themselves with the quiz created by their Czech peers (“Questions about your town-can we guess your town?“), while a shared questionnaire (“TELL US ABOUT YOUR SCHOOL“) allowed each class to explore the school organization and daily life of their respective countries.

Titolo: Un ponte virtuale tra Italia e Repubblica Ceca: il progetto eTwinning della Classe 1E

Durante l’anno scolastico 2022/2023, la classe 1E ha intrapreso un gemellaggio elettronico a lungo termine nell’ambito del programma europeo eTwinning, utilizzando la piattaforma ufficiale school-education.ec.europa.eu messa a disposizione dalla Commissione Europea.

Gli studenti hanno collaborato a distanza in lingua inglese con i coetanei della Základní Škola di Kosmonosy (Repubblica Ceca), sviluppando competenze digitali, linguistiche e di cittadinanza europea attraverso un percorso ricco di attività interattive.

Le tappe del progetto:

• Aprile 2023 – Conoscersi e creare l’identità del progetto

  Dopo aver ideato le proposte per il logo e il nome ufficiale, ogni studente ha creato il proprio avatar digitale e redatto una presentazione personale. Attraversalmente, le due classi si sono incontrate su bacheche virtuali Padlet (Italian students introduce themselves e Czech students introduce themselves) per scambiarsi le prime presentazioni.

• Maggio 2023 – Scambio culturale e quiz interattivi

  Le attività sono proseguite con entusiasmanti sfide a distanza: gli studenti italiani si sono messi alla prova con il quiz ideato dai compagni cechi (“Questions about your town-can we guess your town?”), mentre un questionario condiviso (“TELL US ABOUT YOUR SCHOOL”) ha permesso a ciascuna classe di esplorare l’organizzazione e la vita scolastica dei rispettivi Paesi.
